We may disclose all the information we collect, as de- scribed previously, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial instutution with whom we have a joint markenting agreement. To protect our members' privacy, we only work with conpainies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell the member information we provide to other third parties. In order to conduct the business of the credit union, we may also disclose non-public personal information about you un- der circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process trans- actions on your behalf, conduct the operations of our credit union, follow your instructions as you authorize, or protect the security of our financial records. If you terminate your membership with SAFCU, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as permitted or required by law.
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record infor- mation that identifies each person who opens and ac- count. What this means for you: When you open and account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your drivers's license or other identifying documents.
